Region 6 Education Service Center provides several certification programs for individuals as well as certification services for school districts.

Region 6 Education Service Center (ESC) is pleased to announce a new partnership for the Teacher Alternative Certification Program.

Beginning September 1, 2021, iteachTEXAS will be providing their nationally accredited certification program in conjunction with the Region 6 ESC.  This alliance will allow Region 6 to expand the certification areas for the districts in the service center area, provide immediate access to courses and training, and reduce the cost of certification for future teachers.

Therefore, effective September 1, 2021, applications will no longer be accepted for the Region 6 Teacher Preparation and Certification Program.  This program will officially close on August 31, 2022.
