The mission of the 6Tech team is to prepare technology leaders, instructional coaches, campus and district administrators, and teachers with the skills needed to integrate digital resources and tools into curriculum and instruction in order to promote a student-centered learning environment that encourages communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. The 6Tech Fee Service provides our districts a cost-effective solution to meet their technology integration and student-centered learning needs.
Goals of the Region 6 ESC TEKS Resource System Collaborative are to provide districts with a resource for implementing the state standards, offer customized, aligned, online resources, and deliver sustained professional learning.

Senate Bill 6 from the 82nd Texas Legislature created an instructional materials allotment (IMA) for the purchase of instructional materials, technological equipment, and technology-related services.
Region 6 ESC provides access and guidance to numerous instructional services. These platforms support the alignment and implementation of academics, data, assessment, and quality educational resources.

The Library Services Cooperative provides a certified librarian to a school district for a specified number of visits during the calendar year. The certified librarian provides assistance for managing the library program in an efficient and effective manner.
The MTSS framework is an umbrella for a range of services including: Response to Intervention (RtI), Restorative Practices (RP), Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Trauma Informed Care (TIC), and Mental Health.
The Leadership, Learning and Accountability department at Region 6 ESC is dedicated to provide data driven, TEKS aligned, and goal oriented professional learning opportunities. From general instruction to instructional leadership our programs and services support continuous growth and increased achievement in students, teachers, coaches, and administrators across the region.
Is your district looking for online resources to enhance remote learning and support instructional continuity? Region 6 ESC participates in a Statewide ESC Digital Media Consortium that works to offer products to districts at significant cost savings. Products currently include DEX, Canvas LMS, Schoology LMS, Wisdom LMS, BrightBytes Teaching & Learning, BrightBytes Learning Outcomes, and KickUp.
House Bill 3 (HB 3), passed by the 86th Texas Legislature in June of 2019, requires all kindergarten through third grade teachers and principals to attend Texas Reading Academies by the 2022-2023 school year.
