IMPACT 6 - Alternative Teacher Certification Program

Region 6 ESC has partnered with Region 7 ESC and is now offering a virtual teacher preparation and certification program starting now. In order to apply, all applicants must complete the google form linked below to attend a virtual information session. At the end of the session, each applicant will have access to the online application and can apply immediately. Please review all information and details listed below before signing up for a session. Once you complete the google form, you will receive a calendar invite and link to join the session you requested - session dates listed below. If you can't attend one of the scheduled sessions, please complete the google form to request an alternate date and/or time. 

Virtual Session Dates: 

• Thurs, Aug. 27 at 4:30pm

• Thurs, Sept. 3 at 4:30pm

• Thurs, Sept. 10 at 4:30pm

• Thurs, Sept. 17 at 4:30pm

• Thurs, Sept. 24 at 4:30pm

   

Important Info & Dates:

• Application Deadline: Friday, 10/9/26 

• Interviews: August 24 – October 16 (Virtual)

• Orientation: Sat, 10/24 - MANDATORY In-Person Attendance Required

• Coursework Begins: 11/2/26 

  • All coursework is virtual

• Internship Begins: August 2027 - MANDATORY In-Person Attendance Required

  • Specific orientation date - TBA

• Program Completion: May 2028

• Program Cost = $5,250* (*amount doesn't include any additional costs)

  • Monthly payment plan available

  • No application fee required at this time

• Certification Areas: Listed on google form

• Limited # of candidate spots available for 1^st cohort, so apply early!

Admission Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and have ONE of the following:

  • Have a minimum of 12-15 hours of coursework in content area (this will be verified once you submit your application and all transcripts)

  • Pass the PACT (Pre-Admission Content Test)

• Overall GPA of 2.5 OR 2.75 in the last 60 semester credit hours

• Official transcripts

  • Applicants MUST submit an official transcript from each college and/or university attended; electronic transcripts preferred

• Background Check / Fingerprinting

• Provide professional recommendation contacts
