Content Academies at Region 6 Education Service Center (ESC) are specialized, research-based professional learning programs designed to strengthen K–12 instruction across core content areas. Aligned with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements and initiatives, these academies equip teachers, instructional coaches, and campus and district leaders with TEKS-aligned instructional strategies, assessment practices, and practical tools to enhance instructional eff ectiveness and improve student outcomes.

Region 6 coordinates a variety of content academies designed to strengthen instructional practices and support student achievement across core subject areas:

  • Texas Reading Academies Grades K-3
  • Texas Reading Academies Grades 4-8
  • Texas Mathematics Academies
  • Civics Training Program
